Website New York Immigration Coalition

About the Organization:

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) advocates for policies and provides support to nearly 200 immigrant serving and immigrant rights organizations across New York State. We represent the collective interests of New York’s diverse immigrant communities and organizations, and devise solutions to advance them. We advocate for laws, policies, and programs that lead to justice and opportunity for all immigrant communities; NYIC works to empower immigrants, and contribute to the sustainability of those organizations that serve them, in order to improve people’s lives, and strengthen the economic and social contributions of immigrants to New York State (NYS) and the nation.

About the Role:

Building on the strong foundation and extraordinary growth and impact developed over the last decade, NYIC’s next Executive Director (ED) will lead the organization through its next chapter. In 2021 and beyond, with the right transformational leadership, NYIC is poised to strengthen and sharpen its work, influence, and impact. The next ED will bring new energy, building new partnerships, relationships, strategy, and thinking to achieve big new wins, like a pathway to legalization for immigrants. The next ED will ensure the organization has the right infrastructure and resources to design and integrate an even broader and more diverse coalition, deepen our influence and impact in New York State and federal policy, engage a broader reach in the community, and have an even bolder voice on the important issues facing our diverse immigrant communities.
