The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. This position supports the Financial Services and Fundraising departments by entering donations, other revenue streams, budget to actual variances and general ledger tasks. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, compliance requirements and a strong working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM software.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years Accounting experience
- Knowledge CRM software, Blackbaud Financial Edge or Raiser’s Edge preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel, including pivot tables
- Strong skills in General Ledger, analysis, and budgeting functions
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Must be a team player and work well in a group setting
- Ability to show flexibility and cross-train in other areas of the Finance department
