The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. This position supports the Financial Services and Fundraising departments by entering donations, other revenue streams, budget to actual variances and general ledger tasks. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, compliance requirements and a strong working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM software.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years Accounting experience
  • Knowledge CRM software, Blackbaud Financial Edge or Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel, including pivot tables
  • Strong skills in General Ledger, analysis, and budgeting functions
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Must be a team player and work well in a group setting
  • Ability to show flexibility and cross-train in other areas of the Finance department
