Big Apple Greeter's primary mission is to enhance New York's worldwide image and enrich the NY experience by connecting visitors with a diverse group of "real New Yorkers." It is a free public service and we seek volunteers who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic New Yorkers who want to share the cit they love with visitors. They should be able to make visitors feel welcome and comfortable and help them enjoy their stay in the world's most exciting and diverse city. The main volunteer positions we have available are:

Knowledge of foreign languages, and Harlem or the Bronx a plus. Familiarity with and love for NYC and its neighborhoods is a necessity. It is also a great opportunity to further the cause of making NYC much more accessible to disabled citizens of the world.
