JOB TITLE: DESKTOP PUBLISHING
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The following job requires the ability to type 50 WPM, Word process 60 WPM, use computer design and layout/graphics. Must be proficient in PageMaker Desktop Publishing, PhotoShop or related software. This is a volunteer position.
JOB TITLE: PUBLIC AFFAIRS / JOURNALISM
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Procurement of donated goods and services, coordination of events and people, writing and editing the newsletter and various other pieces, setting appointments and dispatching calls, handling bulk mailings, developing media packages and publicity kits. Articles will be written for the magazine, THE LOOKOUTŪ and the newsletter. Website design and management design.
This position may also generate posters, photo backings and Found Reports for missing children from actual case files, using a computer and scanner. These items will be distributed to the families, law enforcement, citizens, media and various publications and other forms of communication networks. Speaking engagements will be organized as will media contacts.
JOB TITLE: WEB SITE MAINTANANCE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Continually update the web site. Design pages, place photos of missing children on web page. Knowledge and experience of web design is required.
JOB TITLE: CASEWORKER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The caseworker will gain working knowledge of social service and the missing children problem, and work toward the ultimate welfare of the child and stabilization of the family. The caseworker is responsible for researching current laws pertaining to the issue and for making referrals to legal and community resources within the clients' geography. The caseworker takes directives from the head of casework who assigns support staff such responsibilities as case management and new case intake.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA, MSW or related life experience. Students in social work, law enforcement, and criminal law.
JOB TITLE: CASEWORKER ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
No experience necessary. As support staff the casework assistant provides services to the caseworker and the head of casework. The position covers intake of new client information, documentation, data entry on the computer and any other research or resource assignments that may apply.
JOB TITLE: PHOTOGRAPH DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The coordinator will have full responsibility for the solicitation of display space and the dissemination of media ready photos. Contacts will include the general public, merchants, candy vending companies, publishers and media, no client contact. Position may include a working knowledge of various graphic and work processing software to design and produce personalized posters or display ads and various information pieces.
JOB TITLE: AUCTION CHAIRPERSON
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person will coordinate volunteers, businesses and committee meetings for an auction. Work with auction supervisor and charity executive director. Auction Committee persons meet and plan, solicit and pick-up donated goods and services for charity auction. Auction planning and efforts begin in January 2000.
JOB TITLE: OFFICE ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist key administrative personnel with various projects. Data entry on Macintosh computers, outbound phone projects, inbound call reception, special events and project assistance, completing a wide variety of general office duties. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
