Junior Achievement of WNY
Junior Achievement of WNY is a non-profit education organization that educates and inspires
young people to value free enterprise, business and economics in order to improve the quality
of their lives. Our volunteers are consultants from the business world who teach our JA programs
in grades K-12, reaching over 15,000 students in the WNY schools.
If you'd like to learn more about how you can volunteer in the classroom and make a tremendous
impact on the youth of WNY, please contact Tammy at 716-853-1381 x16. (Time commitment varies
depending on what grade level you choose to teach.) Volunteering in the classroom is a rewarding
experience that you will never forget. Become a JA classroom volunteer today and help shape
tomorrow's leaders.
Other volunteer opportunities are also available as well. JA of WNY hosts several events throughout
the year including our annual Bowl-A-Thon, where volunteer support is greatly appreciated. Volunteers
work this one day event in various shifts at one of the participating bowling locations. Volunteers
will enjoy an afternoon of fun as they help the staff and the participants of this event. For more
information on how you can volunteer for our next Bowl-A-Thon, scheduled for March 8, 2003, please
contact Kathy at 716-853-1381 x.10.
For more information on JA and other upcoming events, please call us at 716-853-1381 for more information.
