AmeriCorps at the Parasol Foundation

The Parasol Foundation is accepting applications for an AmeriCorps Volunteer at Incline High School in Incline Village, Nevada on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

The AmeriCorps volunteer will serve up to 35 hours/week at Incline High School. His/her duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Tutor below grade level students in reading both individually and in small groups in: American Government, Integrated science, World or U.S. History or World Geography, Core B and/or Core C Math, Geometry, and English.
  • Assist students in getting all class and homework assignments completed.
  • Make sure that students understand course material while completing assignments.
  • Tutor students after school.
  • Coach on sports teams where able.
The member will participate in three service days with the Together for a Better Community Program. Additionally, the member will participate in three to four team meetings per month.
