Mission Statement

Church World Service is a part of the Church World Service and Witness Unit of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. Other parts of CWSW are Agricultural Missions, International Congregations, and World Community.

Church World Service and Witness Unit Mission Statement

Through Church World Service and Witness, member congregations in the U.S.A. come together with ecumenical partners worldwide to witness to and share Christ's love with all people. In solidarity with those we serve, CWSW meets basic needs of people in peril, works for justice and dignity with the poor and vulnerable, promotes peace and understanding among people of different faiths, races, and nations, and affirms and preserves the diversity and integrity of God's creation.
